An early George III period, large mahogany tilt-top tripod supper table, Circa 1760. A high quality table, featuring a single piece of solid, well figured mahogany top. Hinged tilt mechanism. Supported by a baluster stem, raised on a tripod of cabriole legs. Over 3ft in diameter and very straight.

The highest quality mahogany, very rare to see a top this size, and in such good condition. A superb example of a period supper table, in good condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 70.25 cm (27.5") tall, and the top is 92.75 cm (36.5") in diameter.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some minor/small marks and blemishes. One old repair to one of the legs, which is of a very high quality, well blended in, and polished over. Otherwise all original. Not French polished, only waxed. Very good colour, patina and polish. Cleaned and Waxed. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
