Late C17th /Early C18th Oak Gateleg Drop Leaf Country Dining Table (8 Seater)

A late C17th to early C18th, drop leaf gateleg oval country dining table. This handsome table features a well proportioned, solid oak planked, oval shaped top. Supported by substructure of hand adzed canted legs and rectangular stretchers, with twin gate legs of which swing out to support the drop-leaves.

A well presented, charming old table, in good condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 73.5 cm (29") tall, 183 cm (72") wide leaves up, 66 cm (26") wide leaves down, and 150.5 cm (59.25") deep.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some marks and blemishes. No loose joints. Some restoration work, the original handmade butterfly hinges replaced with C18th hinges. The feet have been tipped. All the old natural aged splits have been secured with butterfly joints on the underside, making the table very sturdy. Some marks have been filled on the top. Overall this table presented very well. Good even colour, attractive patina and pleasing waxed finished finish. Serviced, cleaned, waxed and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
