The Georgian side table is constructed from solid mahogany and boasts a stunning grain configuration to the top. During this period, England was importing good quality timber from around the world. The dop-leaf table is constructed with two elegant drop leaves either side. The leaves can be raised to widen the table. The original wooden hinged bearers / flaps underneath the tabletop support the drop leaves. The Georgian Pembroke table incorporates a working drawer at one side, decorated with cock-beading, a brass swan neck handle and a working lock and key. On the other side of the table is a decorative dummy drawer. The drawer is pine lined, with hand-dovetail joints; it runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The mahogany table stands on four sturdy ring-turned legs. This is a useful small multi-functional antique table, suitable as an occasional, lamp, or side table around the home.

Condition Report:
This is a decorative antique English Georgian Pembroke table, constructed of solid mahogany, with drop-leaves and a single drawer, circa 1820, in good condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and hinge areas, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (please see photos). The table has been cleaned and French polished by hand to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The leaf hinges are original and are in good working order, as well as the wooden flaps / bearers. The drawer incorporates a working lock and key. The drawer is hand dovetailed, pine-lined, runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The legs are original; there has been a historical repair to one of the legs (which is secure and solid in joint). This drop-leaf dining table is well constructed, solid in joint and is ready to use.
