An oak refectory dining table, in the C17th/C18th country style, dating from the C19th. Constructed entirely in solid oak. An oblong shaped top. Raised on a pair lyre shaped trestle supports, adjoined by substantial stretcher, wedged through the end of tenon, with the supports both securing to the top by way of a pair of turned pins with knob handles.
The table can be full taken apart, by removing the pins and the wedges. Therefore can be transported in 4 parts, or stored away flat.
A charming old table, full of character, very solid, and comfortably seating 8 people.
In good condition overall, with some marks and blemishes, serviced, cleaned and waxed, and ready for use.

...nd sturdy. There are some marks and blemishes, in keeping with use. No loose joints. The joints can all be tightened by tightening the removable pins and wedges. Some old and extinct wood worm holes. Mostly filled in and polished over. Not affecting the structurally integrity of the table in any way, and fully treated now, for precaution and future protection. The timbers forming the trestle supports have naturally aged and separated a little. Well presented, with good colour, patina and polish. Serviced, cleaned and waxed, and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
