Antique Derby “stevenson And Hancock” Carafe.

This most exquisite and exceptionally rare carafe was me manufactured in 1863 by Stevenson and Hancock,King street Derby.
 
It’s overall height is 28cm
 
It has minimal damage to the flowers which are abundant and of exquisite detail , hand made , hand painted and hand applied. the form garlands draping around the carafe base and form the tip of the carafe lid.
 
This is a genuine and rare piece of early derby.
 
There is a hairline to the lid and two tight hairlines to the body all of which are clearly photographed.
 
The inner body of the carafe has the cork which at some point has become removed from the stopper.
 
This piece is 101% genuine and has no restoration or conservation. A truly remarkable example of the craftsmanship of the flowers sculptor.
 
Stevenson and Hancock owned the king street factory from 1859-1935, when it was then purchased by Royal Crown Derby.
