Description

A George II/III period, mahogany birdcage, tripod table, Circa 1760. A high quality table, featuring a single piece top with pie-crust edge. Supported by a hinged tilting and rotating birdcage mechanism. Raised on a carved baluster stem, on a tripod of carved cabriole legs.

A high quality and well presented table. Some flaws (see condition), but in a good overall condition. Ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 68.5 cm (27") tall, and the top is 72 cm (27.25") by 72 cm (27.25").

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in an overall good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Two of the legs have been repaired at the underside of the top, and there is a further repair to the top of the stem. There is a little warp in both the top, and the birdcage, though when positioned correctly one effectively counters the other out. Minor marks and blemishes. Cleaned and waxed, and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
