Leeds Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Plain frieze with lower lipped moulded edge. Raised on well proportioned square tapering panelled legs, on brass square cup castors. The top extends by way of telescopic pull-out bearer stretchers (both sides stamped 'Gillows') and four additional leaves. The leaves clip together with brass water gilded table fork clips, all stamped 'R. Langebear, Birmingham'.

A handsome, bonafide Gillows, very high quality dining table, full of charm and character. *Original condition, fully working, with all original and present hardware. Very much ready for use.
Comfortably seating 14 people.

This table measures approximately 75.5 cm (30.25") tall, 365 cm (12') long extended, 136.5 cm (58.5") long unextended, and 129.5 cm (54") wide. The additional leaves measures 58.5 cm (21.25"), 60.75 cm (20.5"), 60.75 cm (20.5"), and 47.25 cm (20") wide each.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - *Overall this table is in good original condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. There are some marks, blemishes, and some wear to the edges and corners. There is a couple of small repairs, to the inside edge of one of the end leaves, and one to one of the extending leaves. There is a little variation to the colour in the leaves. The telescopic stretchers, and castors all work well. No loose joints. Well presented, with good patina and polish. Cleaned and waxed and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc
