French Fruitwood Farmhouse Table

19th century
Description

A beautiful French fruitwood farmhouse table with a lovely colour, this has a long drawer at one end and a smaller one in the side. The top is planked with cross end pieces and the sturdy legs are tapered with a simple square section. This will make a great piece for a country house kitchen, but the colour and patina will make it suitable for many dining rooms and it is long enough to seat 8 for a family meal.

Dating to circa 1850, this is made of fruitwood and originates from France.

In good age related condition, this has the wear expected for a piece of this age. There are some signs of historical woodworm which have been polished over with time. The plank seam on one side is deeper than the others and has a darker colour through years of use, providing desirable character.
