Very elegant and well proportioned early 19th century English mahogany two drawer sofa table or freestanding centre table, William IV period circa 1840.
Good rich and consistent colour to the mahogany and being finished on all sides, this table can free stand as a centre table or hall table, but would also work well as a console table or dressing table too!
Beautifully carved and turned pedestals joined by a turned stretcher with the underside of the frieze being finished with corner turnings giving a nod to the Regency styles.
The table also stands on its original brass castors too.
Measuring:
30 inches or 76 cm high
48 inches or 122 cm wide
23 inches or 58.5 cm deep
24 3/4 inches or 63 cm kneehole height
