A early 20th century mahogany coaching or campaign table bearing a label for Thornton and Herne of Pont Street, London. Coaching tables were designed to be folded away and carried on the coach to provide a flat surface away from home, great for traditional picnics. The table opens and locks in to place with a bar underneath.
