An exceptional Victorian tripod table in burr walnut. Depicting Punch like or Dickensian gentleman with gorteque Caracature faces, dancing or leaping on ropes attached to a central ring. Each chap is different very amusing scene,in it''s day, I''m sure. May even have been political figures. The central column is gilded and has gilded metal beading to the collar. No worm or damage,all in all a very unusual table, never seen one like it in over 50 years of trading. Possibly Irish?. All sizes are in inches ...21 diameter to top, 29 tall and foot splay is 10 inches. Strong and sturdy ready to place in your home.
