Description

Circa 1880. A very unusual, stylish and rare draw leaf dining table in the William & Mary style. The top with matching panels, with yew wood oyster veneers laid in a circular pattern, the center with a sunburst design with walnut and boxwood intersected by sections of herringbone inlay, with a broad border. The table has two draw out leaves with matching panels giving a very stylish four panel oyster veneer top with broad walnut banding. The table has a simple fore edge and rests on a large rectangular walnut frame, supported on four elegant cabriole legs with carved shells on the knees with bell drops beneath and foliate carving on the quarter blocks, terminating on a realistic ball and claw foot. Would comfortably sit 12-14 people.
