Description

An Irish, late George II period, mahogany tilt-top tripod supper table, Circa 1760. A superb, high quality table, featuring a large, well figured, single piece, solid mahogany top. A hinged tilt mechanism. Supported by a well proportioned baluster type ring turned stem, raised on a tripod cabriole legs with carved details on the upper part of the leg on the concave curve, all sat on pad feet.

An excellent example, in almost original and very good condition, ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 74.25 cm (29.25") tall, and the top is 90.5 cm (35.5") in diameter.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in very good and mostly original condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. Some minor marks and blemishes. A very small natural age split to edge of the top which has been filled and wax polished in. One later screw-hole in the underside of the barer stretcher. Cleaned and Waxed. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
