Description

A beautiful quality French Empire style console table, this is in flame mahogany with a lovely dark grey marble top with white flecks and small fossils. It has a long hidden drawer with three internal sections and the front supports are in the form of columns with rounded feet, all with original ormolu mounts. This is an elegant piece with simple lines which will make a great hall or reception table.

Dating to circa 1830, this is made of mahogany and originates from France.

In good age related condition, this has a small number of tiny nibbles around the edge of the marble which are highlighted by feel, but there is nothing visibly obtrusive. There are tiny chips to the veneer by each of the top two drawer corners, but again these are not easily seen. There are age related scuffs on the feet and columns as expected from long use, but again these are not obvious.
