This highly decorative pair of Japanese Meiji period pottery storks are most unusual and offer a rare opportunity to own a complete hand made individual pair of decorative pottery birds with a good country house look. Each example is completely different. They are designed to be a complimentary pair each watching an unsuspecting fish from a different position waiting for an opportunity to strike and win dinner.

They are beautifully handcrafted with lots of individual feathers and other elements in their production all of which have been sculpted in the wet clay, hand assembled, painted and then fired in the kiln. The bright simple palette of colours is the most eye catching.
