Charming Pair of Early 19th Century Staffordshire Lions

Description

A rare and charming pair of early 19th century Staffordshire lions dating from around 1820 in perfect original condition.

These lovely examples have a good strong body colour and bold flowing manes with a great expression to the beasts, stood above a small lamb on the base. These are in excellent original order with no damage or restoration and measure 8 cms high 9 cms wide by 3 cms deep.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
