One side with ‘The Bagpiper’, after a design of ‘Spring’ by Jacopo Amiconi. A young man plays bagpipes, before a reclining shepherdess, and her dog, beneath a tree.

The reverse with ‘The Milkmaids’, after an engraving by Robert Sayer, 1766. The girls, carrying pails on their heads, with a farmer helping one of the girls. All in a farmyard setting.
Having a grooved handle.
Height: 8.5 cm, 3 3/8”.
Width: 9 cm, 3 1/2”, over the handle.
Depth: 6.7 cm, 2 5/8”.
Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
