Description

This is a fabulous earthenware service by copelands.

Manufactured in staffordshire in 1830

There are 23 pieces

8 plates and repeat transfer pattern which has been hand painted and tinted.

The platters are graduating in size and octagonal in shape.

The small sauce tureens have pine cone finials and high lights of bright green, giving a highlight against the cobalt blue and ochre flowers.

This is perfectly serviceable … obviously no microwaves or dishwashers ! But what a fabulous set to grace a table.

Two smaller platters have discolouration commensurate with age, clearly visible in the photographs.
