Description

This is a good pair of large Chinese Qing Period lidded jars with bold ironstone red dogs of Fo decoration dating from around 1860. The jars are painted with calligraphy to the lids and body and have their original seals still present. These are substantial in size and the the bold hand painted iron red dogs of Fo are really characterful. These are in really good condition for their considerable age with the bodies of the jars being perfect and only minor historical chips to the lids as seen in the photos.

The jars are in a hard paste porcelain with enamel glaze over the hand painted designs.

They are an imposing size that look great in any situation measuring 32 high by 22 cms in diameter.
