Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Royal Worcester blush ivory porcelain was developed in the late 19th century during the Victorian period. Characterised by a soft satin ivory ground achieved through a delicate matte glaze, it became a signature production style for the factory between the 1880s and early 1900s.

Victorian ceramic centrepieces were crafted from high-fired porcelain or bone china, often hand-moulded with relief ornamentation such as masks and foliage. Pieces were finished with multi-stage glazing, soft polychrome tones, and burnished gold gilding.

Authentic items bear standard factory printed backmarks on the base, typically featuring a crowned circle containing dots or numbers that indicate the manufacture year. Genuine blush ivory pieces display a distinct smooth matte finish alongside precise gilded accents.

A porcelain centrepiece serves as a focal decorative vessel on a dining table, console, or sideboard. The item provides historical contrast when set against contemporary neutral surfaces or alongside minimalist glassware.

Gilded porcelain should be dusted gently with a soft dry cloth or microfibre duster. Avoid immersion in water, abrasive pads, and chemical cleaners, which degrade overglaze decoration and hand-applied liquid gilding.
