Malcolm Eglin Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The scene surrounding the external of the foot-bath is based on a print "The Taj Mahal, Tomb of the Emperor Shah Jehan and his Queen".

This large foot-bath was manufactured circa 1825, in wonderful condition with the odd mark due to wear and tear over the last 200 years.
A wonderful piece for use in an interior design, perhaps set with flowers.
