Chinese Set of 7 Hors Doevres Dishes

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very attractive hand enamelled set of seven Chinese hors d’Oeuvres dishes dating from the early 20th century circa 1900. The dishes are prettily decorated with chrysanthemum and stylised butterflies, each having a neat cobalt blue criss cross border. These are is excellent condition with no restoration and only a couple of very minor nibbles to the corner glaze of two dishes. The set are in a beautiful colour palate and the underside is in a delightful turquoise glaze.

The dishes individually measure 16 cms by 13 cms by 2 cms in height.

PROVENANCE: These were formerly the property of a Lady of title from her London residence in Kensington.
