For sale, this massive Japanese deep dish decorated in the Imari palette with a central roundel of a garden scene, the wall of the dish with a continuous panel of prunus, pagodas, etc, all picked out on gold, underglaze blue and red. The reverse is decorated with a Prunus design central foot showing firing points. The attractive rim with various chrysanthemum heads. This dish displays superbly but has a restored sprung crack as shown on the pics. However, it is still a most decorative item. Size approx. 55cm diameter and approx. 9.5cm deep. Price £995.00
