An impressive cold painted Terracotta statues of a 19th century Arab soldier and young woman dressed in exquisite drapes by Friedrich Goldscheider, Austria.
 
In 1885, at forty years of age, Friedrich Goldscheider founded in Vienna ''Goldscheider''sche Porzellan-Manufaktur und Majolica-Fabrik''. The factory produced a wide variety of ceramics, ranging from faience kitchenware to luxurious porcelain objects. But it''s the polychrome terracotta figures in particular that have established its reputation and fame.
