Rare 18th century miniature porcelain portrait of Queen Catherine Parr (1512-1548), sixth wife of King Henry VIII from 1543-1547. It is believed to be based on a 16th-century lost portrait by Levina Teerlinc (1510s-1576), the most important miniaturist to the Tudor court serving Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I. The portrait is painted on copper with a bronze frame. A very rare and collectable miniature for any collector. Porcelain plaque measures 6.5cm in diameter, frame 13cm high x 10cm wide.
 
In excellent condition – no marks, damage or repairs.
