A very good example of an antique French Confit Pot in the traditional rich mustard colour.
Used since the early 1800s to store Confit du Canard, they would originally have had a lid or stopper.
The lovely patina includes chips and cracks that add to the rustic look and are very typical of an authentic 19th Century Confit Pot.
