A fine and charming little iron stone sauce tureen with cover and stand. This is a really lovely example of the type with a great moulded shape, lovely transfer print, colouring and gilding. The tureen is in very good condition just two very minor chips. There is a transfer print mark on the base of the stand ''Real Iron Stone China'' which is an early mark for the Ashworth pottery after it took over Mason''s. A lovely example of iron stone Imari china. C.1860.
