Description

This very attractive SWISS THOUNE POTTERY SLIP DECORATED CHARGER dates from circa 1890.

The centre is hand-painted with a view of the CHATEAU DE CHILLON taken from Montreux and signed with the initials L.R.

The slip decoration is sharp and the colours are vibrant.

There is no restoration to the Charger. There is a chip to the rim and a few chips to the foot rim and some glaze rubbing to the thin outer edge.

As can be seen from the photographs there are some minor paint flakes to the central painting.
