Lambeth Delft Charger Circa 1750

Description

A tin glazed 'Delft Ware' charger circa 1750 from the factories in and around Lambeth London. The charger is polychrome decorated and has a parrot and floral coloured glaze decoration. The colours and broad stroke styling are usual of the Lambeth factories.

For similar example see Reginald and Rachel French collection at Historic Deerfield #91.144.

Condition good with fritting to the rim often seen with tin glazed pieces, there is an area of either glaze pooling or restoration (see detail). Not noticeable from the front.
