A Fine 19th Century Dutch Delft, Antique Wall Plaque.

Description

The design is typically rococo in tone with the plaque being cartouche shape with ribbon moulded edge.

The the central landscape scene shows a Lord & Lady relaxing under a tree, with a background of rural countryside, surrounded by grass, trees and a village, featuring a medieval church.

Particularly finely done, including a faux marble effect boarder.

The condition is excellent with just the odd minor glaze chip as would be expected on Delftware.

A very decorative and impressive piece of tin glazed earthenware. C.1850.
