Description

Staffordshire pottery portrait bust, c. 1860. Well modelled as the head and shoulders of the preacher John Wesley. Hand painted in underglaze and overglaze enamels, and set upon a circular ‘marbelled’ socle.

Probably Thomas Parr factory.

Height - 29 cm, 11 1/2”.

Width - 17 cm, 6 5/8”

Depth - 11.5 cm, 4 1/2”.

Condition - Some typical wear to the overglaze enamel. Please see images for detail.
