Russian biscuit porcelain figure, Gardner Factory, Moscow, c. 1880. Modelled as a seated peasant, preparing his lunch, by salting his bread. Having a tall hat, and his boots by his side, upon a circular grassy mound.

Printed and impressed factory marks to the base.
