Antique Japanese Imari Charger Meiji

Description

This is a good 19th century Imari charger in perfect condition dating from around 1870. The charger is in hard paste porcelain with a lovely enamel glaze beautifully hand painted in the typical Imari palette of bold red ironstone and deep indigo. This has a lovely design with a central urn of flowers on a trellis with a wide border of beautiful flowers and blossom.

The charger measures 30 cms in diameter.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
