The print inspired by the accounts of Sir William Parry’s expeditions within the Arctic between 1829 – 1833.
The borders printed with panels, depicting, a Harnessed Antelope, a Jaguar, and the Ganges Stag, taken from Thomas Bewick’s ‘ General History of Quadrupeds’, whilst the lion is taken from William Goldsmiths ‘Animated Nature’.
Interspersed by panels of flowers.

Condition: Small chip to rim, barely noticeable from the front. Short firing crack to rim - please see images for details.
