Description

Pair of large Spode porcelain ice pails, c. 1820. The campana shaped vases, painted with large sprays of flowers, between lavender borders. Having elaborate twin branch handles, terminating in leaves, and heightened in gilt.

Both pails lack their covers, but still make for highly decorative items.

Painted ‘SPODE’ mark in iron red.

Medium: Porcelain

Height: 24 cm, 9 1/2”.

Width: 25.5 cm, 10”.

Depth: 23 cm, 9 1/8”.

Condition: Lacking covers.
