Japanese Meiji period Satsuma tazza or footed stand, circa 1900
Finely hand painted scene of Japanese men in traditional clothing walking in a festival procession from a temple carrying relics, a shoulder borne palanquin, lanterns and cloth banners on long poles.
Painted in coloured enamels with extensive gold detailing, gold dotting provides background shading.
Neat square character mark and mon in red and gold.
Usual very fine crazing to the glaze, in good, bright, sound condition with no wear, damage or repair.
Height 3,1/2'' or 90mm, diameter 8,3/4'' or 220mm, weight 704 grams.
