This truly stunning oval porcelain miniature is housed in a highly decorative ebonised and brass octagonal frame that has a plethora of ormolu mounts that are inset with eight semi-precious stones including lapislazuli, carnelian and agate.
The scene depicts the beautiful image of the Madonna and Child - after the highly popular Renaissance painting by Raphael, it is superbly hand painted and enamelled and is finished in great detail to the highest of standards.
