Good Set of Three Graduating Japanese Imari Bowls

Description

This is a beautiful set of three good quality Japanese bowls in the traditional Imari palette, having unusual attractive lemon highlights. These are in a quality hard paste porcelain which is quite substantial and a good weight.

The two larger bowls are in perfect original condition. The smallest has had a small chip repair to the rim as photographed in pictures 11-12 but not really noticeable and does not detract.

The three are decorated throughout with floral balcony scenes, stylised dogs of Fo and garland roundels.

The set are a good size with the largest being 31 cms in diameter and 10 cms in height. The middle one is 28 diameter by 9 high and the smallest 24 cms by 8 cms high.
