This is a beautiful 19th century Arita ware charger of good size and in perfect condition dating from the Japanese Meiji period circa1870.

The charger is hand decorated with beautiful lush blooms and birds in foliage in the typical Arita blue palette. This is a fine size at 56 cms in diameter and is in perfect condition with no damage or restoration.

Provenance: The charger originates from the collection in the estate of Bishop Oak Wolsingham in County Durham.
