This substantial dish early 20th century spode
This early dish has been used and shows signs of its former custodian cutlery marks
apart from the evidence of social ware, the dish also has some kiln frit scores near the rim clearly photographed.
This piece will have been made in North Staffordshire and fired in a bottle neck kiln
The applied transferware consists of a rim frill and animals across the body of the bowl
Rare to find such an early surviving piece which has not only been used, shows signs of use BUT has not chips or restoration.
