This is an 18th Century Chinese porcelain mug dating from the rule of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795). It is hand painted with enamels in the famille rose palette. The mug has a diaper border, over another border with foliate reserves, above a pink scale border with Rococo styled edge. This is above three floral sprays, the flowerheads in hues of pink and purple. The moulded handle is in the form of a serpent.There is a chip to the rim measuring approximately 3mm in diameter. The handle has been glued on both ends. Otherwise it appears in good condition with wear commensurate to age.All items come with free shipping throughout the UK.
