Description

This is a good quality pair of continental hard paste porcelain jardiniere or cache pots with beautiful hand painted cobalt blue designs of butterflies and flowers against a cream and light blue background. The style of the jardiniere is distinctly from the aesthetic period, dating them to around 1890. They are superbly gilded to the fine scrolling feet and around the base and rims.

These are in excellent condition overall with no damage, just minor crazing to the glaze on the base of one as shown. A most attractive top quality pair of jardiniere.

The pots measure 20 cms in height and are 18 cms in diameter.
