Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Figure of Nelson.

Description

This is a Victorian Staffordshire pottery figure of Vice-Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). It is simply moulded with Nelson holding a telescope in his right hand, the other behind his back, a flag at his side. The figure is painted in the typical manner for Staffordshire figures.

The figure is in good general condition with no signs of cracks (apart from a firing crack to the inside of the base), chips or restoration. There is wear to the gilded highlights.
