For sale this rare Japanese Arita blue and white sail design shallow dish, circa 1720. This shallow potted dish in painted in a rare sail design pattern in underglaze blue of pale and inky tones. The central motif of pomegranates. The underside with four spur marks and the Fuku mark. The glaze has the standard shrinkage crackle. The dish is 17.9cm diameter and 3.1cm tall. The dish is in undamaged condition.
