A fine and rare pair of Staffordshire figures of King Charles I and Prince Rupert dressed in full cavalier dress. The pair are exceptionally well modelled with King Charles standing by a pedestal and Prince Rupert by a cannon. The decoration is also much better than standard with fine painted faces and wonderful pink jackets. The pair are in exceptionally good condition with no restoration, although I do think there has been some touching up of the black. A charming, rare and extremely decorative pair of Staffordshire figures. C.1870.
