Technical Description
 
A Wedgwood Butterfly Lustre Bowl. The body is decorated in the Butterfly pattern designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones, which is decorated with gilt butterflies on a mottled orange ground. The base is marked with the Wedgwood Portland vase maker''s mark and the pattern number Z4830.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-made around the time the Council of the League of Nations met for the first time in London on the 11th of February 1920.
