An Exceptional Royal Worcester Reticulated Teapot and Cover by George Owen.

Description

An exceptional Royal Worcester reticulated teapot and cover by George Owen. Showcasing Owens fine reticulation at its very best, the teapot with bands of graduated honeycomb reticulation surrounding a central band of pierced geometric shapes. The cover with both honeycomb and geometric reticulation.

Various bands of simulated jewelling in white and turquoise applied to both pieces, the teapot handle further adorned with simulated turqouise jewelling.

Finely gilded with both flat and raised paste gilding, the footrim having an acid etched border.

The teapot and cover in perfect original condition, no damages or restoration, incredible given its age of some 138 years.

Fully Factory marked with date letter "S" for 1881.

Rarely does such a pristine example appear for sale, fabulolus opportunity to own the very best.
