James Hadley (1837-1903) was a talented porcelain modeller who started with Kerr & Binns in 1850s. By 1870 he had become the principal modeller at Royal Worcester and in 1975 he set up his own studio in the City, later starting his own factory, which on his death was sold back to the company.
