A fine and early blue and white transfer printed platter. The platter is printed with one of the ornithological series designs which features a turkey, it has a Chinese design border. The ornithological series was made by a few factories and this platter is almost certainly made by Hicks and Meigh. The platter is in excellent condition with some slight wear to the glaze from use. C.1820.
