Large Japanese Imari Charger Meiji Period

Description

This large Imari charger is a beautiful example from the Meiji period, in perfect, crisp condition.

The charger dates from around 1895 and is hand decorated in blue and red ironstone colours with typical Japanese designs. The hard paste porcelain is finely enamelled and has a crisp, clean lustrous hue. A very nice example that measures 41 cms in diameter

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
